Aims

The major has been designed to provide graduates with:

  • An advanced understanding of both the theoretical and the practical aspects of environmental issues relevant to civil engineering
  • An in-depth understanding of the processes and techniques used to ensure that environmental issues are accommodated in civil engineering projects
  • An ability to critically analyse and evaluate information and solve problems
  • Further skills in their ability to undertake research-oriented and practical projects

Learning outcomes

On completion students will be able to:

Proficiently use professional skills and knowledge in the systematic development of environmentally friendly civil infrastructure
