Aims

The Dietetics minor is a combination of additional science topics required to meet the eligibility requirements for the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University. This minor aim to provide human nutrition students with the required foundational science knowledge required to pursue postgraduate studies in dietetics; nutrition science research or related roles.

Learning outcomes

On completion students will be able to:
1.
Understand the underlying biochemical and physiological mechanisms relevant to nutrition management of illness
2.
Develop basic communication skills for the provision of nutrition education to individuals and groups
