Aims
The Philosophy major aims to give students an advanced understanding of:
- Key philosophical ideas and areas of philosophy, including both moral and social philosophy, and epistemology and metaphysics
- Central philosophical arguments and research methods
Learning outcomes
On completion students will be able to:

Assess key issues in contemporary philosophy

Critically evaluate a range of arguments of significance in philosophy

Synthesize a range of philosophical ideas into a coherent structure
