To qualify for the Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of International Relations and Political Science a student must complete 171 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic according to the program of study below with a:

• Laws - component of 108 units
• International Relations and Political Science component of 63 units

Not all topics are necessarily available each year.

Students who complete at least 75% of their degree at Flinders and have achieved an overall GPA of 5.5 or greater in the course may be awarded the Bachelor of Laws 'with distinction'.

Students who commence, but subsequently do not wish to complete the combined degrees program may be eligible to transfer to either the Bachelor of Laws or the Bachelor of International Relations and Political Science and receive credit for some or all of the topics already completed in the relevant component.

Students admitted in a combined degree must complete the program of study specified before they can graduate with either award.

1. This Program of Study serves as a suggested study plan.  When core topics are offered in both halves of the year, students may enrol in these topics in either half of the year as long as requisites are met.

2. Students intending to progress to the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice should seek study plan advice in their 2nd year of study. 

3. LLAW3302 Law in Action has an enrolment quota per semester. This is a core topic and must be completed within this program of study. This topic is therefore offered in both semesters to accommodate enrolments across the year. 

The minimum requirements for consideration for entry to all undergraduate courses are specified in detail in the University Entry Requirements.

Many of the core topics contain legal practice skills as part of assessment requirements and inherent requirements may apply.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Laws satisfy the academic requirements for admission as a barrister and solicitor in the State of South Australia.
