Aims

The course is designed to provide students who are working in health and aged care, whatever their professional background, with the opportunity to acquire deeper knowledge and enhanced skills in aged care management.

The course builds on the students' current workplace experience and promotes the application of management theories to existing problems. This strong industry focus is aimed at delivering direct benefits to students through knowledge and to aged care workplaces through its application. The course will introduce students to some core competencies, successful completion of which will better equip them to carry out management tasks and allow them to proceed if they wish, to further graduate level coursework.

Student progression rules

Failure to complete the course within 4 consecutive semesters or the award of a grade of Fail (F) in the same topic on more than one occasion, may constitute prima facie evidence of unsatisfactory progress for the purposes of the University's Policy on Student Progress.
