Aims

This course aims to:

  • Provide students with specialised knowledge of current development issues and policy areas and the theories that inform them
  • As a stand-alone course it provides a conceptual and practical framework for individuals wishing to take their careers in private sector, public sector or non-government organisations into the development arena
  • Form the first step in the Graduate Program in Sustainable Development, providing a basic entry point to more advanced studies up to Masters level
