Overview

The Diploma in Information Technology requires 1 year of full-time study (or the equivalent part-time). The course is offered by the College of Science and Engineering.The course articulates with the 108 unit Bachelor of Information Technology, and the sequentially developed topics enable progression through the awards.

Aims

The Diploma has been designed to develop essential skills needed for a career in computing. Throughout the course, students will gain experience in:

  • Designing, and developing IT systems and applications.

  • Tackling problems using technology.

  • Managing data-rich environments.

  • Working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Understanding professional and ethical responsibilities.

The course offers practical, hands-on experience, providing a solid foundation for ongoing professional development and practical applications in various IT-related fields.

Learning outcomes

On completion of the course you will be able to:
