Aims

This course aims to provide students with:

  • The knowledge and skills to be able to research, write, design and produce communication content for a range of media platforms
  • Knowledge of business concepts relevant to media and communication practices
  • The ability to adapt written style for different audiences and purposes
  • Research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of media and communication workplaces and their contexts
  • Knowledge of the impact of globalisation on communication
  • Knowledge of the practical skills in the production of digital, print and broadcast texts
  • Knowledge of the value of ethical behaviour
