This Program of Study serves as a suggested study plan. When core topics are offered in both halves of the year, students may enrol in these topics in either half of the year as long as requisites are met.
Students exiting from an approved exit award may replace COMS1001 Academic and Professional Communication, and up to 9 units of core topics, with up to 13.5 units of topics taken from the Business program of study.
Students that are concurrently completing a Bachelor degree may replace COMS1001 Academic and Professional Communication, with 4.5 units of BUSN electives.

Aims

This course provides students with the opportunity to develop knowledge and competencies that will provide a foundation for further study and careers in business-related fields. Students will be encouraged and supported to develop transferable interpersonal and professional capabilities, with a focus on the application of knowledge, competencies, and capabilities to a range of business/organisational contexts. Students will apply their knowledge and competencies to a range of business/organisational practices including systems and processes, planning, production, and operations.
