The core topics providingyou study will:
- give you a fundamentalfoundational understanding of anatomy and physiology, health systems, and social and psychological determinants ofhuman health and well-being essentialbiology including anatomy and physiology;
- provide you with an introductory understanding of approaches to health practice. Optionand health systems;
- give you a foundational understanding of factors that affect health and wellbeing, and how they influence health practice;
- develop your skills essential for evidence-based healthcare, with content informed by the latest research.
The option topics provide you with the opportunity to tailor your learning experience to a broad range of health-related topics. You will develop the ability to critically approach new challenges in contemporary healthcaresuit your interests and be equipped to enter the workforce in a variety of health-related sectors.career aspirations. This degree also prepares you for further study in a health-related discipline, for example the Associate Degree in Health Sciences or the Bachelor of Health Sciences, which articulate directly with the Diploma in Health Sciences.
