Aims
The course specialisation aims to provide a high-quality program in which students can enhance their creative and practical skills within a framework of academic study. It fulfills the need for professional studies in VFX lighting and environment at the postgraduate level.
Overall it aims to:
- Provide students with an intensive introduction to matte painting
- Provide students with an overview of the pipeline roles in VFX lighting and environments
- Develop students' modeling ability for VFX lighting and environments
- Develop students' ability to work across multiple 3D studio setups
- Develop students' texturing, lookdev processes and the approval process
- Develop students' problem-solving skills in a cross-functional team environment
- Provide students with in depth colour theory and ACES colour workflow
- Provide students with the opportunity to interact with and obtain feedback and guidance from industry professionals
- Provide students with an understanding of industry best practices and techniques in the use of software in VFX lighting and environments production
