Aims
This topic aims for pre-service teachers to:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the role of the arts in a global society
- Apply current research findings in a variety of relevant and innovative arts teaching methodologies and resources
- Develop the ability to use inclusive teaching practices when planning for teaching and learning in the arts
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate creative application of resources, methodology and skills for teaching the arts
2.
Apply a body of knowledge that includes understanding and critical analysis of recent developments in arts education
3.
Integrate cognitive, technical and creative skills in all 5 arts subjects to create a public performance and justify its appropriateness for a primary school audience
