Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Enhance student confidence, knowledge and skills in primary years Health and Physical Education learning and teaching
  • Enable students to synthesise research in primary years Health and Physical Education learning and teaching
  • Enhance students' personal approach to in primary years Health and Physical Education learning and teaching based on their critical inquiry and analysis of experience as well as in the light of a range of theoretical perspectives

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Plan, analyse and critique a balanced, sequential program in health education and physical education for primary years

Demonstrate current knowledge and an integrated understanding of the content, context and processes of learning and teaching in Health and Physical Education in the primary years of schooling
