Aims
This topic aims to:
- Consolidate and expand students' knowledge of French grammatical structures and vocabulary acquired at previous levels
- Further develop students' communicative competence through participation in activities involving group or pair interaction
- Develop further students' proficiency in both written and spoken French on a range of socio-cultural topics at a generalist level
- Develop further skills for basic textual analysis and literary readings in authentic French
- Develop further listening skills through audio comprehensions
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Construe a breadth of meanings from formal written texts and spoken passages in French, of different genres and text types
2.
Use moderately complex French to communicate independently and efficiently in speech and in writing, in an extended range of text types and for different purposes
3.
Interpret and produce an extended range of complex grammatical and syntactical structures and vocabulary in French
4.
Integrate specific features of French culture, as they are expressed through language: arts, literature, etc.
