Aims
This topic aims to:
- Develop students' knowledge and ability to understand and use moderately complex French grammatical structures and expand vocabulary
- Enhance students' communicative competence through participation in activities involving exposure to different kinds of media and group or pair interaction
- Expose students to independent and collaborative learning and to language learning skill development
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Critically interpret authentic written texts and spoken passages in French, of different language varieties and registers
2.
Use articulated French to communicate autonomously and proficiently in speech and in writing, in a range of different registers
3.
Produce a range of nuanced grammatical and lexical elements in French
4.
Critique specific aspects of French culture, as they are expressed through language: news, health, etc.
