Aims
This topic aims to:
- Develop and apply linguistic tools for research by a systematic examination of examples from discourse practices in social contexts
- Observe and analyse the ways language is used in speech and in writing in the student's own discipline or professional area of interest
- Provide students with opportunities to develop and apply an appropriate linguistic method to a research question
