Aims
This topic aims to:
- Consolidate and expand students' knowledge of Modern Greek grammatical structures and vocabulary acquired at previous levels
- Further enhance the students' communicative competence through participation in activities involving exposure to a variety of media and group or pair interaction
- Assist students to analyse and understand different text types, including literary texts, and to produce complex written and spoken texts
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Critically interpret authentic written texts and spoken passages in Modern Greek from a wider range of different standards and registers
2.
Use articulated Modern Greek to communicate autonomously and proficiently in speech and in writing, in an extended range of registers
3.
Produce a further range of nuanced grammatical and lexical elements in Modern Greek
4.
Critique specific aspects of Greek culture, as they are expressed through language: technology, business, etc.
