Aims
This topic aims to:
- Demonstrate integration of theory to paramedic practice for a variety of medical and traumatic emergencies and management of injury and illness
- Develop physical examination techniques in relation to common medical and traumatic emergencies and to apply these in a pre-hospital context
- Demonstrate safe and effective critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills in a pre-hospital care context
- Demonstrate competency in extrapolating components of medical and trauma related clinical scenarios in order to compare and contrast findings with current Australian Resuscitation Council and international guidelines
- Demonstrate sound pharmacological knowledge of medications used in a pre-hospital care context
