Aims
This topic aims to develop the student's ability to conduct a holistic patient assessment, develop an understanding of particular significant patient historical and clinical signs and symptoms.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate effective communication skills required to obtain effective patient historical information
2.
Incorporate their knowledge of anatomical regions and structures and their physiological functions towards their clinical practice
3.
Integrate their existing knowledge of pathophysiology and paramedic practice into clinical patient investigation
4.
Apply a range of examination skills and techniques in order to elicit specific physiological performance information from patients
5.
Recognise and understand the significance of common patient signs and symptoms linked with specific disease states
6.
Demonstrate an awareness of diagnostic investigations required beyond the pre-hospital arena
