Aims

This topic aims to allow students to:

  • Understand fundamental concepts of modelling for 3D games, animation and visual effects as it applies to industry standards, including understanding industry vocabulary
  • Develop their communication skills, with particular reference to communicating their own creative ideas
  • Develop specialist 3D skills, in connection with another area of study

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate familiarity with a range of concepts in one or more steams of 3D media production
2.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate creative and technical concepts related to 3D media to peers, and a broader audience
3.
Demonstrate the ability to apply 3D media techniques to another area of study
