- An understanding of the evolution, diversity, ecology, behaviour, anatomy, physiology, and conservation biology of marine mammals, birds and reptiles
- An understanding of the interactions between human activities in the oceans and marine mammals, birds and reptiles, and applicable conservation and management strategies
- A broad knowledge of the methods and techniques used to study these taxa
- Improved problem solving abilities and enhanced oral and written presentation skills

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
