Aims

The aim of this subject is to introduce fundamental valuation theory and concepts and a framework for business analysis and valuation using both financial and non-financial data. It will evaluate competitive and corporate strategy analysis, factors influencing the quality of financial statements and develop an understanding of business analysis and valuation applications.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Assess business valuation theory concepts and the external and internal environmental factors that influence the strategy of an organisation

Determine required accounting adjustments in the recasting of financial statements for business analysis
