This topic aims to develop understanding of the victim and victimology. 

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Evaluate concepts and process of victimology
2.
Discuss the impact of crime on victims and critically appraise the different ways the criminal justice system, welfare system and society respond to victims of crime
3.
Evaluate and apply trauma- and theoretically-informed approaches and good practice principles to Criminal Justice System policy and practice responses to victims of crime
