Aims
This topic aims to:
- Develop knowledge of the philosophical and values based principles that underpin the IB programmes
- Provide a philosophical foundation for understanding how IB programmes are planned, implemented and evaluated
- Develop reflective practices, collaborative learning and collegial activities in support of the aims and objectives of IB programmes
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Critically analyse and appraise the values, philosophy and essential features of the IB programme continuum including International education, classroom diversity, and the relationship between the four IB programmes
2.
Analyse and appraise how at least one of the IB curriculum frameworks applies to their own context
3.
Engage in reflective practice regarding IB programme planning, implementation and evaluation
4.
Undertake and evaluate their own collaborative online learning practices that promote IB learning outcomes
