Aims
This topic aims to introduce students to the principles and practice of the measurement of physiological and medical parameters, including medical instruments commonly used in modern hospitals and clinics. This will be achieved by studying and experimenting with the physical principles of the sensor and its interaction with the human body, and the instrumentation required to measure, process and present this signal to the user.

SACE Stage 2 (Year 12) Mathematical Methods or equivalent. Some understanding of electricity such as can be obtained in SACE Stage 2 (Year 12) Physics or equivalent.
