Overview
Location Intelligence builds on Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) to provide data-driven insights. People today expect highly relevant, location-aware experiences, delivered without a hitch. Location Intelligence (LI) is the methodology of deriving insights from location data to answer spatial questions. LI goes beyond simple data visualization on maps, to analysing location … For more content click the Read More button below.

Aims
This topic aims to equip students with the skills to leverage geospatial data to derive meaningful insights to solve real-world problems. Students will develop geospatial intelligence and investigate real-world location intelligence workflows.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Explain common location intelligence concepts, technologies, and analysis methods
2.
Describe emerging trends and technologies relevant to location intelligence
3.
Analyse different types of geospatial data and illustrate how spatial and non-spatial data can be integrated for problem solving
4.
Successfully map, visualise, and report on location intelligence solutions
5.
Collaboratively design a project to solve a problem using location intelligence concepts and workflows and report on results.
