Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Introduce learners to the role of evidence in examining, critiquing, and improving practices within health and clinical education
  • Orient learners to scoping review methodology and research question design
  • Engage learners in searching, curating and critically appraising health and clinical education evidence from a range of perspectives

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate knowledge of the principles and practices of evidence curation, appraisal, and synthesis
2.
Develop a research question, and design and conduct a search to retrieve a range of evidence related to the question
3.
Critically appraise evidence from social, cultural, institutional, historical, and political perspectives
4.
Critically analyse the significance and implications of your research topic, why it matters and to whom
