Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Provide opportunities for the development or consolidation of students' background knowledge of socio-cultural issues related to Italian arts, literature and society
  • Develop students' critical and analytical skills through the study of Italian texts

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Discuss key socio-cultural aspects specific to Italian-speaking societies

Evaluate topic contents through the analysis of authentic linguistic and audio-visual texts, in Italian

Articulate socio-cultural themes and issues specific to Italian-speaking societies, both verbally and in writing, to a range of audiences
