Aims
This topic will examine occupational science and its relation to occupational therapy. Students will study humans as occupational beings and examine the relationship between occupation, culture, health and well-being, and occupational justice.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Critically analyse the relationship between occupation, health and well-being

Evaluate the complex factors that influence time use, occupational balance, health and well-being
3.
Critically analyse how context affects the environment on occupational engagement and performance
4.
Determine how occupational justice influences occupational engagement for individuals and populations
5.
Apply an occupational lens to an analysis of health and social issues
6.
Examine the unique perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' experiences of health, wellbeing and occupation, encompassing cultural connections
