Aims
This topic aims to:
- Introduce students to concepts of collaborative practice and leadership with a specific emphasis on public health priorities and health promotion within a project
- Provide students with an insight into issues which health care professionals currently face in the delivery of a quality-based service within a diverse and changing healthcare environment
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Describe and apply models of leadership in physiotherapy and education
2.
Advocate for clients and their rights for health care
3.
Critically appraise the role of health professionals in health promotion for the prevention and management of chronic conditions emerging from public health priorities
4.
Apply concepts of inclusive, and culturally-responsive collaborative practice in health promotion
5.
Demonstrate the application of specific chronic condition self-management strategies
6.
Demonstrate the application of project management skills to undertake a health promotion and/or leadership in physiotherapy
