This topic familiarises students with the skills required to plan and produce screen media projects. Working individually and as part of a small team, students will explore production techniques, crewing and creative problem solving in camera, lighting and sound operation and gain experience in non-linear editing.

Aims

This topic aims to introduce students to the audio-visual equipment and the recording, editing and post-production techniques required to create and produce audio-visual media projects, both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Create audio-visual media through application of camera, lighting and sound recording techniques

Modify audio-visual media through the use of editing techniques and the management of media files
