This topic aims to:
- Explore links between social work practice with communities and with small groups
- Increase your familiarity with methods used with small group systems and social work at a community level, recognising the commonalities of principles and techniques as well as areas of more specialised knowledge and skill
- Introduce you to further models of social work practice
- Orient you to the benefits of working with clients through community practice and through the use of small groups
- Develop your skills and confidence in working with communities and groups
