Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Expose students to advanced concepts used in the 3D Visual Effects industry
  • Develop students’ ability to articulate applied theories and concepts used in the 3D Visual Effects industry
  • Provide the opportunity to diversify their skills in the production of 3D materials, or further specialise in a field of 3D media already commenced
  • Support students to explore their own area of personal or professional interest in 3D media

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate a familiarity with advanced concepts of modelling for 3D games, animation and visual effects either collectively or separately, as it applies to industry standards
2.
Demonstrate a working vocabulary relevant to understanding and practising modelling for 3D games, animation and visual effects
3.
Demonstrate a proficient knowledge of a range of modelling for 3D games, animation and visual effects concepts and applications
