Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Equip students with a background understanding of where the data they will be dealing with in animation, film and games production originates
  • Establish an understanding of the importance of file formats, planning, and robust workflows
  • Give students an appreciation of the particular qualities and properties of certain motion capture processes
  • Give an awareness of how lenses, compression, storage and other factors can be essential to Motion Capture and Virtual Production practices
