Aims

Students are required to undertake a professional project of relevance to industry, involving the application of digital technologies. During this period, students will:

  • Investigate engineering management related tasks
  • Further develop analytical and critical thinking skills appropriate to research
  • Further develop high level writing and communication skills through the writing of reports and the delivery of presentations related to the project appropriate for an executive management audience
  • Develop engineering management skills appropriate to research-oriented investigation

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Understand engineering management concepts and show skills relevant to research in that area

Display experience in tasks associated with the proposing, planning and execution of a systematic investigation of a particular engineering management issue
3.
Develop and effectively deliver appropriately structured presentations

Analyse and evaluate established solutions to complex engineering management problems
