This topic aims to:
- Develop an understanding of the processes of economic, social and cultural change in the Global South
- Develop an appreciation of the diversity and complexity of the Global South
- Identify the key agents driving change and development in the countries of the Global South
- Develop skills in the research and use of diverse texts to explore processes of social change and transformation
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Compare and contract differing understandings of the Global South
2.
Demonstrate an understanding of the processes of economic, social and cultural change in the Global South
3.
Explain how change in countries of the Global South is connected with global processes of change with reference to data and other evidence
4.
Demonstrate appropriate research skills and work collaboratively and independently
