Aims
This topic aims to provide students with an introduction to the principles, practices and issues relevant to effectively manage procurement in organisations. The students will evaluate the processes and systems in place for purchasing and managing supply bases.
This topic aims to:
- Allow students to appreciate the strategic importance of the procurement function
- Provide students with the understanding of the purchasing policies, procedures, laws and ethics
- Provide students with the understanding of the key elements in strategic sourcing and link to competitiveness
