The opportunity for Honours students to engage in a piece of sustained and specific practice-based research. The product of this research is a major creative work, equivalent to an honours thesis of 18,000 words.

Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Deepen participants' understanding of critical and/or creative methodologies relevant to their area of specialisation
  • Extend students' ability to produce an extended piece of practice led research
  • Develop Honours level research and communication skills

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Defend your capacity to undertake independent research to a high level
2.
Produce a major creative project within your area of specialisation, including interpreting and applying ethical considerations
3.
Integrate sophisticated knowledge in your area of specialisation, including relevant methodologies
