Aims
This topic aims to provide students with the skills to:
- Use musical rhythm and pitch notation
- Recognise how musical elements are interpreted by human anatomy
- Apply the principles of Yoga as a technique and philosophy employed in body conditioning for dancers
- Explore the nature, causes, management and methods of preventing dance injuries and strategies for coping with injury
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Apply the principles of safe dance practice to conditioning

Use basic musical notation in sound scores
3.
Integrate musical elements into movement practice
4.
Apply anatomical knowledge to promote health and prevent injury in dance practice
