This topic builds on the skills and knowledge developed in Semester One. Students will deepen their sense of personalisation and ownership through the enhanced activation of imagination, and via the application of action work to text, for the live and screen space.

Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Activate the imagination by connecting self-awareness with the extant needs of character and/or text
  • Develop and challenge the students’ sense of range and its possibilities
  • Assist the student to create new pathways in themselves: expanding the toolkit
  • Assist the student to shape a sophisticated and conscious approach to structure and text in both the live and screen space

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Locate the power of endowment; empowering and activating the imagination

Practice the principle of clear and simple transitive action work in collaboration and in monologue work
3.
Detect the dialogue between camera (technology) and body
4.
Critically reflect on performance practice
