Aims
This topic aims to introduce students to physical laws applied to describe, understand and predict the behaviour of fluids in motion.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Outline the physical laws that describe fluids in motion in porous and non-porous media
2.
Have a knowledge of the associated techniques (finite-difference hydrodynamic modelling) and an ability to apply these techniques in a wide range of settings
3.
Apply computational modelling of complex dynamical systems
4.
Demonstrate enhanced problem-solving, critical-thinking and reasoning abilities
