Aims
The topic aims to:
- Introduce sociological frameworks that enable preservice teachers to develop consciousness of the social origins of seemingly individual phenomena in schools and society
- Develop preservice teachers’ awareness of the nature of research and knowledge creation in education
- Provide preservice teachers with opportunities to reflect critically on their educational and socio‐cultural experiences in relation to contemporary educational contexts and issues
- Assist preservice teachers in understanding the social and cultural differences among young people in contemporary educational contexts
