This topic aims to:
- Cultivate an advanced understanding of effective ways teachers design personalised curriculum for students with additional needs
- Examine general principles of learning, assessment and curriculum design for students with additional support learning needs
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Discuss theories of learning which ensure effective teaching and assessment strategies
2.
Appraise formal and informal assessment tools and strategies
3.
Evaluate data obtained from informal assessment to improve student learning outcomes
4.
Design an effective research-based learning program for students with additional support needs
5.
Formulate appropriate objectives, curriculum and research based teaching strategies to support the participation and progress of students with additional support needs
