Aims

This topic aims to provide the training and examination that will prepare the student for the external examination to gain the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) industry qualification.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Explain network protocols and networking concepts for a medium-sized network
2.
Evaluate the selection criteria of network devices and WAN technologies to meet network requirements
3.
Configure and troubleshoot network switching technologies (VLANs, RSTP, HSRP, NAT)
4.
Apply Cisco IOS instructions to configure networking devices
5.
Configure and troubleshoot redundancy on a switched network using STP and EtherChannel.
