Students may have the option of completing a 70 hour practicum. Practicums and their assessment are to be organised in consultation with the topic coordinator.

Aims
This topic aims to:
- Develop critical analysis of the approaches that inform classroom methodology
- Investigate and analyse creative planning of classroom learning experiences
- Examine the synthesis between learner motivation and successful learning outcomes
- Develop skills for the critical analysis of methodologies as used in TESOL
- Promote a reflective approach to practice
Learning outcomes

Determine the relevance of different theories and practices for creating positive classroom experiences

Critique your own and others' classroom practice in terms of theoretical and practical principles of second language learning
