Aims
This topic aims to provide students with the opportunity to:
- Research fashion garments to observe their fabrication, shape, fitting details and construction
- Learn pattern making techniques appropriate for chosen fabric and garment
- Develop skills in the operation and maintenance of sewing machines
- Develop skills in the construction techniques of components and whole garments
- Become competent at developing specification sheets for garments
- Design and produce a garment from a brief
