Aims

This topic aims to give students the opportunity to:

  • Demonstrate their skills in design, development, patternmaking and construction
  • Show critical analysis of their own work and problem solving abilities
  • Present work to a graduate and industry standard meeting required timelines

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Independently develop fashion ranges to industry, client, or self-employment requirements
2.
Produce a collection that culminates in the use of advanced skills and techniques in design, patternmaking and construction
3.
Analyse problems in garment design and construction, and provide solutions
4.
Adhere to industry standard timelines
5.
Produce a portfolio for future employment
