The thesis is an opportunity for Honours students to engage in a piece of sustained and specific research. The product of this research is a thesis of up to 18,000 words or equivalent artistic practice.

Aims
This topic aims to
- Deepen participants' understanding of critical and/or creative methodologies relevant to their area of specialisation
- Extend students' ability to produce an extended piece of research
- Develop advanced research and communication skills appropriate for Honours level
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Defend your capacity to undertake independent research to a high level
2.
Produce a major research project within your area of specialisation, including critical analysis, interpretation and the application of appropriate ethical considerations
3.
Integrate sophisticated knowledge in your area of specialisation, including relevant methodologies
