This topic aims to provide an understanding of:

  • How skill learning and acquisition principles related to physical activity and sport
  • The influence of personal, task and environmental factors on skilled performance
  • The pedagogical implications associated with skill acquisition
  • The biomechanical principles that underpin human movement
  • How aspects of human body influence human movement
  • The role of equipment selection on skill acquisition and task performance
