Aims

This topic aims to introduce more complex and varied rural health related research information from multiple sources. This topic will develop students skills in research design including ethical considerations of research and the use of qualitative and quantitative methods of research. Students will further develop their critical evaluation and consumption of the health research literature.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Examine the importance of ethical and culturally safe practice in research

Identify the importance of practical applications of qualitative and qualitative methodologies to address health issues
3.
Develop capacity to apply critical thinking skills
4.
Analyse the impact of evidence based practice on the provision of health services
5.
Demonstrate an understanding of co-design principles and inclusivity in research

Pre-requisites:
